Training for Interventional Radiology Coding Minimize

AE & Associates, LLC is offering a training program designed to teach hospital and physician coders the core and advanced concepts of Interventional Radiology (IR) coding that are applied in a hospital setting.

The training will provide invaluable knowledge for medical coders looking to advance in their career or expand their coding repertoire.
Training will include:
  • Explanation of the complexity of IR
  • Discussion of terminology and rules of IR
  • Assigning appropriate modifiers to IR procedures
  • Understanding bundling and unbundling of codes
  • Appropriate coding and instruction for each related procedure in IR
  • Review of various case studies to aid in understanding IR
Our instructors have both a medical background and are credentialed with the Certified Interventional Radiology & Cardiovascular Coding (CIRCC) credential by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). They currently work as IR coders/auditors.
By the end of the course students should have a better understanding of the rules and components that pertain to IR procedures, and be able to confidently select the appropriate IR codes.
